They came from everywhere. Put that story on the page.

1. Choose the places to include

Use cities or countries, rather than street addresses or individual guest names. A few representative places can make a clearer map than a crowded list. Vowfold supports up to eight entries in the guest-map input.

This map represents where your guests come from. It is not a venue directions map, a travel itinerary or a live location tracker.

2. Add one place per line

Start with a list such as:

London
New York
Sydney

When a city name could mean more than one place, include its country—for example, “Paris, France”. Check the matched location before you consider it finished.

3. Check and adjust the pins

Recognised places are plotted automatically. If a location cannot be found confidently, add more detail or use “Place on map”. Choose “Adjust pin” to move a recognised location. Click or drag on the map, then choose “Done”. Your chosen pin position is used in the printed map.

If you move a recognised pin by mistake, use the automatic-location option to return it to its original position. Avoid placing a pin just to clear a warning: it should still represent the place you mean.

4. Preview the map in your newspaper

The guest map is an optional feature in the Chronicle’s wedding-day page. It shares a space with the venue story, so choose the feature that matters most to you. Check the map together with your schedule and other details in the full-page preview.

See the four-page sample to understand the page structure. A map can be a lovely personal addition, but you do not need one to make a complete newspaper.

From near and far, you have brought our favourite people into one room. Thank you for making the journey.

This example works without inventing travel distances or ranking guests. Adapt it to your own voice, and make sure everyone feels welcome.

Before you print

• Check the city and country names.
• Check that each pin is in the intended location.
• Look at the map at the size guests will hold.
• Print a proof to check the labels and fine detail.
