Wedding newspaper printing costs

Newspaper Club prices and PRINTNEWSPAPER: compare your printing costs.

Newspaper Club prices change with quantity, page count, paper and delivery country. Start with dated UK and US wedding-newspaper quotes, then compare PRINTNEWSPAPER, delivery and the other costs to allow for before ordering.

How much are Newspaper Club prices for wedding newspapers?

For 100 four-page digital tabloids on 55 gsm improved newsprint, Newspaper Club quoted £109 delivered in the UK or $213 delivered in the US on 13 October 2026. That is £1.09 or $2.13 per copy. Quantity, page count, paper and destination change the total. Compare both printers at matching specifications and budget separately for your design or PDF files and any printed proof.

A single copy is useful for a printed proof, but its per-copy price is much higher than a wedding run. Count the copies you actually need before comparing quotes: one per household or shared reception copies can give a very different total from one on every ceremony seat.

The two tabloids are not the same size

“Tabloid” sounds like a standard, but each printer has its own. Newspaper Club’s is 29 mm wider and 10 mm taller than PRINTNEWSPAPER’s, and the two have different proportions. In the hand, both feel like a real newspaper; the Newspaper Club page simply gives you a little more room for photos and type.

  • Newspaper Club tabloid289 × 380 mm (11.4 × 15 in)
  • PRINTNEWSPAPER tabloid260 × 370 mm (10.2 × 14.6 in)
  • A4, for scale210 × 297 mm
Drawn to scale from the bottom-left corner. The PRINTNEWSPAPER page is about 12% smaller in area and a little narrower for its height, so one file cannot simply be scaled to fit the other.

So design for one printer and stay with it, or keep a separate file for each. Shrinking a Newspaper Club file to fit PRINTNEWSPAPER leaves white strips and makes small text smaller still; stretching it distorts photos. Both printers also make a broadsheet if you want a statement piece; see wedding newspaper sizes for how it compares.

Paper

Both print on genuine newsprint: thin, soft and slightly see-through, with photos a little darker than on office paper.

  • Newspaper Club prints small runs on 55 gsm improved newsprint as standard. The 45 gsm salmon-pink paper gives a vintage, financial-paper look; the 80 gsm bright recycled paper is whiter and sturdier, which suits a photo-heavy paper or one guests will keep. Their other papers are for runs of 500 or more.
  • PRINTNEWSPAPER uses one 60 gsm newsprint, slightly heavier than the usual 55 gsm, chosen for brighter colour.

Both sample packs are free. Order both about two months before the wedding and compare them side by side.

Newspaper Club vs PRINTNEWSPAPER prices by country

Both include delivery to one address in the price. What changes by country is the price itself and whether customs can add a charge on arrival. These are the totals each site showed on 1 October 2026 for 100 copies of a tabloid on standard paper. Each site quotes in its own currency for each country, so compare in one currency on the day you order.

Newspaper Club, 55 gsm improved newsprint; PRINTNEWSPAPER, 60 gsm. A single 4-page copy costs $67 or £24 at Newspaper Club, and $59 or €40 at PRINTNEWSPAPER. Prices change; check each printer’s calculator before you order.

Which is cheaper where you live

  • United States: the same price for four pages; PRINTNEWSPAPER is about $60 less for eight. Both include duties and taxes, so nothing is due on arrival.
  • United Kingdom: about the same for four pages. For eight, PRINTNEWSPAPER’s euro price usually works out lower, but it warns that UK customs fees can occasionally apply; Newspaper Club ships from inside the UK.
  • Canada: Newspaper Club is usually cheaper for four pages; for eight, it depends on the exchange rate. Duties or taxes may be charged on arrival with either.
  • Australia: Newspaper Club costs roughly half as much. Local charges may apply with either.
  • European Union: PRINTNEWSPAPER is cheaper, and as it ships from France there are no customs charges. Newspaper Club orders to the EU incur VAT and a clearance fee of at least €20, paid to the courier before delivery.

A Vowfold newspaper is four pages, so if you made yours here, the four-page columns are the ones that apply.

What is included in your wedding newspaper printing budget?

  • Design or PDF files: your chosen template or maker is a separate cost. Vowfold’s one-time $12.99 USD PDF bundle includes the two printer-specific files; physical printing and delivery are purchased from the printer.
  • The main print run: use the delivered total, then divide by the number of copies. Do not compare a single-copy proof price with a 100-copy unit price.
  • A printed proof: budget for it separately unless the printer explicitly includes or credits it. An accepted upload is a file check; a physical proof lets you judge paper, photographs and small type.
  • Destination-specific charges: check the current delivery and customs terms for your country. Avoid adding shipping twice when the displayed quote already includes it.

For other budgets and formats, compare home, local print-shop and newspaper-printing costs. If your paper will be handed out before the ceremony, plan its contents with our newspaper order of service guide.

Delivery and timing

  • Newspaper Club quotes 1–7 working days in the UK and 2–8 working days abroad. Larger orders travel by tracked courier; a single UK copy may be sent by Royal Mail. Its standard 55 gsm tabloid has the quickest turnaround. There is no paid rush option; if you are short of time, contact them first.
  • PRINTNEWSPAPER prints Monday to Thursday. Orders placed before 7 a.m. Paris time join that day’s run, ship the same or the next day, and arrive in 2–5 business days. An express option prints your order first and usually saves a day, though the printer notes a rushed run cannot be held back for a quality reprint.

With either, aim to order three to four weeks before the wedding, and add a week when the order crosses a border. Our printing timeline works back from the date.

Samples and proofs

  • Free sample packs: Newspaper Club’s pack has seven newspapers in every size and paper, including a wedding-themed tabloid. PRINTNEWSPAPER’s has a tabloid, a broadsheet and its design guide; it prints samples on Wednesdays and posts them untracked, taking up to ten days.
  • Checking your file: both check every upload automatically. Newspaper Club shows a report of anything to fix (size, page count, colour, image resolution, fonts, transparency). PRINTNEWSPAPER shows an instant digital proof.
  • A printed proof: at Newspaper Club, order a single copy. At PRINTNEWSPAPER, a single-copy proof earns 10% off your next order, which can cover its cost; for orders under $400, it says a proof is optional because it will help fix the file and reprint at no charge if something goes wrong.

Getting your file right

  • Use each printer’s exact page size, set before you design: 289 × 380 mm or 260 × 370 mm.
  • Keep the white margin clear: 15 mm at the top, bottom and outside edge for Newspaper Club; 10 mm around each spread for PRINTNEWSPAPER, which lets a photo run across the centre of the middle pages.
  • Send single pages in reading order as one flattened PDF, in CMYK colour, with images at 150–300 ppi. The printer arranges the pages on the sheets.
  • Do not upload one printer’s file to the other. The sizes differ, and scaling to fit will be flagged or print with uneven margins.

How they arrive

Newspaper Club packs larger orders in courier boxes. A single UK copy sent by Royal Mail may have an extra “endorse fold”, so check the packing method when ordering a proof. PRINTNEWSPAPER packs 4-page copies nested in sets of three, and 8-page copies in pairs, without glue or staples: you lift them apart by hand. Do it before the wedding week, not on the morning.

Which should you choose?

Choose Newspaper Club if

  • you are in the UK or Australia, or in Canada with a four-page paper;
  • you want the larger page, or a choice of paper, such as salmon-pink or a whiter, sturdier stock;
  • you want one cheap proof copy before committing (£24 in the UK).

Choose PRINTNEWSPAPER if

  • you live in the EU, where it is cheaper and free of customs charges;
  • you are printing eight pages or more in the US or UK, where it usually costs less;
  • you are ordering late, when the express option can save a day.

If neither fits, US couples can print on newsprint with Make My Newspaper (from 50 copies), and any couple can print a folded version on regular paper at a local print shop in a day or two.

Made your newspaper with Vowfold? Your download includes both files: a 289 × 380 mm PDF for Newspaper Club and a 260 × 370 mm PDF for PRINTNEWSPAPER, each with that printer’s margins. You can choose the printer after you have finished, or switch if one cannot deliver in time, without redesigning anything. See the files included.

Newspaper Club pricing questions

How much does Newspaper Club cost for 100 wedding newspapers?

Our 13 October 2026 quote for 100 four-page digital tabloids on 55 gsm improved newsprint was £109 delivered in the UK or $213 delivered in the US. Eight pages were £190 or $348 respectively. These are printing quotes, separate from the cost of your design or PDF files.

Does Newspaper Club’s price include delivery?

The price-list examples above include delivery to one address in the selected country. Check the printer’s delivery calculator and country terms for your own order, including any destination-specific tax or customs charges.

Why is a single newspaper so expensive per copy?

A small order still has a production and delivery cost. In the quoted four-page examples, one copy was £24 in the UK or $67 in the US, while a 100-copy run worked out at £1.09 or $2.13 each. Choose your quantity from your distribution plan, rather than ordering extras only to lower the unit price.

Is Newspaper Club or PRINTNEWSPAPER cheaper?

It depends on where you live and how many pages. In our check, four pages cost the same in the US; PRINTNEWSPAPER was cheaper in the EU and for eight pages in the US, and Newspaper Club was cheaper in Australia and, for four pages, in Canada.

Can I use the same PDF for both?

No. Their tabloid page sizes and margins differ. Make or export a file at each printer’s exact size.

Is the quality different?

Both print digitally on genuine newsprint. The differences you will notice are size and paper, which is why holding the free samples side by side is worth it.

Will I pay customs?

Not in the US with either. In the EU, not with PRINTNEWSPAPER; Newspaper Club orders incur VAT and a clearance fee. In the UK, Canada, Australia and some other countries, charges may apply on imports, so check before ordering.

How we compared them

We entered the same order on both sites on 1 October 2026: a tabloid on standard paper, 4 and 8 pages, 100 copies, delivered to each country listed, without placing an order. Sizes, papers, margins, delivery and customs details come from each printer’s own pages: Newspaper Club’s tabloid page, delivery information and sample pack; PRINTNEWSPAPER’s pricing, sizes, pages, delivery and proofs. Vowfold is not paid by or partnered with either printer.
