AI credits
A little help with the words.
Start with 100 free AI credits and use them across all your drafts and templates. Credits do not expire. Writing by hand and previewing your newspaper are always free.
Getting credits
100 credits on first use. These are added once when you first use AI with your verified account.
Five later visits, 20 credits each. On five later days when you open the editor to continue your newspaper, we automatically add 20 credits—a further 100 in total. The days do not need to be consecutive, and there is no deadline to collect them. You receive at most one top-up per day; missed days do not accumulate. Your balance panel shows the next eligible time in your local time zone.
Creating, copying or deleting a draft does not restart your allowance. Buying a newspaper will not cancel any remaining free top-ups.
With purchases: 200 more credits per newspaper. Purchases are not available yet. Once payments launch, each confirmed newspaper purchase will add 200 to your existing balance. For example, 30 credits remaining + 200 purchase credits = 230 credits.

The cost is shown before you start. Polishing an existing venue introduction without a new web search uses 1 credit.
Manual edits, photos, preset headlines, location lookup, previews and file downloads do not use AI credits. Extracting text from a supported file is also free; asking AI to work with that text uses the credits shown.
When are credits used?
Credits are temporarily reserved while AI works, then deducted when a usable result is ready, whether or not you keep it. Asking for another version uses credits again; undoing an edit does not restore them.
If a request fails or is cancelled without a usable result, its reserved credits are returned automatically. Internal retries and adjustments to fit your page do not incur an extra charge. If a connection is interrupted, a pending reservation may take up to five minutes to clear when your balance refreshes.
Can I switch templates or come back later?
Yes. Credits belong to your account, not one wedding or template. Unused credits remain available when you return, including six months later. They cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for cash.
AI credits and export access are separate. Credits do not unlock paid files or extend draft storage or file-update periods. Downloads already included in a purchase do not require an AI balance.
What if I run out?
Your words and photos stay in your draft. Continue editing by hand and previewing, or return on another eligible day if you have free top-ups remaining. See your balance panel for the next top-up time.
Once payments launch, you will also be able to purchase an unfinished newspaper to receive its 200 bonus credits after payment is confirmed, then keep working before exporting. We do not currently sell separate credit packs. There are no automatic credit purchases or subscriptions.
If a newspaper purchase is refunded, its unused bonus credits will be removed; unrelated credits are not removed.
